Overview

The New Albany City Plan Commission is the local government body charged by Indiana Code with regulatory responsibilities for planning, zoning, land use, subdivision, and annexation in the City of New Albany as well as the Unincorporated Two Mile Fringe Area. The Plan Commission is an 11-member body, comprised of citizens of both the City and the Two Mile Fringe Area. The Commission includes the City Engineer, a member of the New Albany – Floyd County Parks Board, a City Council representative, and an appointment by the New Albany Board of Public Works & Safety. Two Mile Fringe Area members are appointed by the Floyd County Commissioners. The remaining five members are appointed by the Mayor of New Albany.
