The Office of the Building Commissioner makes inspections on both construction projects and unsafe structures while issuing permits and licenses to contractors on a daily basis.

Inspections
All building, electrical, heating-cooling, and plumbing inspections should be called in at least one business day before the inspection is needed.

Continuing Education
Both residential and commercial general contractors along with electrical contractors holding an active license in the city must submit six hours of approved continuing education when renewing for the year. We will post local classes as the information is submitted.
