New Albany Municipal Utilities, formerly known as the Sewer Billing Office, oversees wastewater billing for the city. There are approximately 17,000 customers that received bills — 14,000 to users of Indiana-American Water within the city limits and 3,000 users billed directly by Municipal Utilities in unincorporated areas. New Albany Municipal Utilities also issues bills in-house for approximately 2,000 commercial stormwater accounts.
