Redevelopment Clerk/Receptionist: Seeking qualified individual for the position of Redevelopment Clerk/Receptionist. The position will perform a variety of administrative duties under the City of New Albany’s Community Development Department. The successful candidate will have demonstrated qualifications including computer/word processing skills, filing, excellent oral and written communications skills and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. The position has a good benefit package along with a bi-weekly salary of up to $917.30 for the year 2008. Household Hazardous Waste facility now open: Warren Nash, director of the Floyd County Solid Waste Management District, told the Board of Public Works and Safety today that the district’s hazardous materials drop-off site, located at 37 West Eighth Street near the Wastewater Treatment Plant, is now open every Friday by appointment.
