Recently, New Albany welcomed a new addition to its downtown business district. Yvonne and Duane Bolanowski opened Earth’s Art, where they share their passion of rock and mineral collecting with others.

“We want people to enjoy this like we do,” said (Yvonne) Bolanowski, who has been collecting rocks and minerals with her husband for several years.
The Bolanowskis work with wholesalers from around the world to select their favorite pieces for the store. In addition, the store showcases wood carvings and hand-thrown pottery.
With prices ranging from 50¢ to $500.00, there is something for everyone. Rock and mineral items include Native Michigan Copper, Brazilian Amethyst, geodes and more.

Earth’s Art is located on 209 East Market Street, which is perfectly nestled next to the Art Store, and across the street from the Farmers Market.
“We looked at several places, and different cities. New Albany seemed to be the place that is on the move,” said (Yvonne) Bolanowski.
Earth’s Art is part of New Albany First. The Bolanowskis will host a table at the Be Local Expo on Tuesday evening at the Grand. The store is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. For more information, visit earthsartonline.com and don’t forget to like the store on Facebook.
