Do you live in New Albany? (Or, did you formerly live here? Or, is there a house in New Albany that is “special” to you, maybe because relatives, friends, etc., lived there?) Was the house built in 1963 or earlier? If so, please register your house’s history with the Indiana History Room of the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library!
Here’s how:
Pick up a worksheet (in the Indiana History Room) for your completion. It asks for various types of information about this building (built in 1963 or earlier). Much of the requested material is available by doing research in the Indiana History Room’s records.
Assemble your findings (including old and new photographs that you might have of the building) and bring them to the Indiana History Room.
We will copy this material for our files, so that it will be available to our researchers in the future. We’ll also issue a framed certificate to demonstrate our appreciation for your participation in this New Albany Bicentennial project!
Thank you for your assistance!
