The City’s Memorial Day Celebration at the Riverfront Amphitheater will be held on the evening of May 24th. This year, a showing of Disney’s "Wreck-It Ralph" will be shown on the New Albany Riverfront’s 40 foot movie screen. The movie will begin at dark, with a projected start time of 9 p.m .
Mayor Jeff M. Gahan and The City of New Albany have also teamed up with Production Simple to present a series of free after-work concerts every Friday this summer from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the new Bicentennial Park in historic downtown New Albany. The park is located at the corner of Spring Street and Pearl Street. All concerts are family-friendly, and will feature local, regional, and national acts.
The first concert of the New Albany Bicentennial Park Summer Concert Series will take place on Friday, June 7th at 6 p.m. and will feature the original indie folk rock of hometown favorites Ranger and fellow Southern Indiana newcomers, Riverboys.
